Most widgets are over-spec'd on paper and under-built in practice. Acme engineers every tolerance to survive a decade of real-world use — not a showroom floor.
Off-the-shelf widgets are manufactured to a price, not a standard. Tolerances drift after the first thermal cycle. Finishes degrade under load. Replacements ship in six weeks — if you're lucky.
Acme is different. Every widget starts with a material brief, not a cost target. We build to the spec your application actually demands, then test it until we're the ones who are bored.
Three things we obsess over so your engineers don't have to.
Every widget spec starts with the substrate, not the sketch. We select alloys and polymers for your environment before the CAD file opens — so degradation is an engineering variable, not a surprise.
Our CMM lab measures every batch to the micron and ships a certificate of conformance with each order. You get the data, not just our word.
We maintain safety stock for every active SKU and give customers a private replenishment portal. No more "contact sales" for a price — log in, reorder, done.
No project management marathons. No surprises at incoming inspection.
Submit your tolerance stack, material requirements, and operating environment. Our engineers review within 24 hours and flag any constraints before cutting metal.
Every widget is machined on 5-axis CNC and verified on our CMM lab to ±0.001" before leaving the floor. A certificate of conformance ships with every order.
If dimensional drift exceeds spec under normal operating conditions at any point, we remake it. No arguments, no pro-rating — just a replacement on our dime.
Each one is a reason widgets fail in the field. We don't skip them.
Material selection starts with your environment — temperature range, load cycle, chemical exposure — not our inventory sheet.
Every batch measured on a CMM, every deviation logged. You get the raw data, not a checkbox on a form.
Accelerated aging tests at 2× rated load confirm every new design before production begins. Not a marketing number — an engineering target.
No catalog roulette. Spec your widget, get a quote in 24 hours, first article in 10 days. Reorders ship from standing stock in 5 days.
First-article orders take 10 business days from approved spec to ship date. Repeat orders from standing stock ship within 5 business days. Rush turns (5 days for first article) are available for an additional 20% — contact us before placing the order.
No. We run single-piece first articles for qualification. Production runs start at 10 units. There's no blanket order requirement — we'd rather you run a 10-piece pilot than commit to a quantity you haven't validated yet.
Yes — that's the default workflow. Submit your 2D drawing or 3D model plus a tolerance and materials brief. We'll review it, flag any DFM issues, and send a quote. We don't require you to choose from a catalog.
Standard alloys include 303/304/316 stainless, 6061/7075 aluminum, and 4140 steel. For polymers: Delrin, PTFE, PEEK, and Ultem. Non-standard materials are considered case-by-case — lead time and cost vary. Tell us your operating environment and we'll recommend the right substrate.
Quoted per-job based on geometry, material, and quantity. We don't publish a price list because tolerances and materials vary too much for fixed pricing to be honest. Request a quote after joining the waitlist — most quotes are returned within one business day.
Dimensional conformance for the life of the part under normal operating conditions. If a widget drifts outside the tolerance documented on your certificate of conformance, we remake it at no charge. The warranty does not cover damage from installation error, overload, or use outside the rated environment.
We're opening to a limited number of teams this quarter.
